Snakes are the most dangerous reptile guests to our living places which are of lethal threat to human life.Snakes are legless, carnivorous reptiles.

The skin of a snake is covered with scales. Snakes moult by shedding the complete outer layer of skin in one layer. Older snakes shed its skin maybe once or twice a year. Younger snake sheds up to four times a year.

Few snake species use venom to immobilize or kill their prey. The venom is delivered through fangs.

All snakes are strictly carnivorous, eating small animals including lizards, frogs, other snakes, small mammals, birds, eggs, fish, snails or insects. Because snakes cannot bite their food they swallow their prey whole.

Snakes do not ordinarily prey on humans. Unless startled or injured. Nonvenomous snakes are not a threat to humans. Although the possibility of infection and tissue damage is possible. Venomous snakes are fatal to humans.

4. Honey Bee

Honeybees produce and store honey and construct nests from wax. A colony generally contains one queen bee(fertile female); a few thousand drone bees( fertile males) and tens of thousands of sterile female worker bees.

Honeybees help in pollination of plants. Honey bees feed on pollen and nectar. Pollen is the protein source for honeybees Nectar is a source of water and carbohydrates in the form of sucrose.

Drones are male, while workers and queens are female.

Honeybees live in colonies where the workers sting intruders as a form of defense, and alarmed bees release a pheromone that stimulates the attack response in other bees.

Honey bees are known to communicate through many different chemicals and odors, as is common in insects. They also rely on a sophisticated dance language that conveys information about the distance and direction to a specific location.

Honey bees may be beneficial insect but when they are found in residential and office complex they pose threat to the people.
